In addition to his role with Sapient, Dr. Hopkins is Professor and Chairman of Neurosurgery, Professor of Radiology, and Director of the Toshiba Stroke Research Center at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
In April 1996 he completed a two-year term as Chairman of the Joint Section on Cerebrovascular Surgery of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS).
He has served as Scientific and Annual Meeting Chairman for both the CNS and AANS.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, Dr. Hopkins was a cum laude graduate of Albany Medical College.
