Mr. Hughes is the founder and CEO of Everest Group International LLC (EGI), an international turnaround, business management and development services firm, has a diverse corporate career in operations management in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe, that included Fortune 500 firms such as International Playtex, Sara Lee, and Harris Corporation.
Since 1988, as CEO of EGI, Mr. Hughes served as President of DelMar, a $100MM vertically-integrated window coverings manufacturer, where he reduced expenses by $12MM, inventory by $15MM and achieved a 13% EBIT in 6 months.
As President & COO of Alexander Doll Company, a $25MM manufacturer of collectible dolls, he improved gross profit by 8 points and increased sales by 32%.
Mr. Hughes has also served as Vice Chairman and current Board member of WRS Infrastructure and Environment (formerly a Westinghouse company), an environmental remediation design and construction firm as well as transitional Vice President of Blue Ridge Carpet Mills, a manufacturer of commercial carpet.
Mr. Hughes has a B.S.
degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and an M.S.
degree in Systems Management from Florida Institute of Technology.
