Murphy is Executive Vice President & Principal at Meridian Investments, Inc. Prior to joining Meridian in 1983, he served as a Captain in the U.S.
Army, held an appointment with the US Treasury, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and served as Tax Counsel and In-House Counsel for several international corporations.
He is based in our Boston, MA office and is responsible for business development and placement of tax credit equity.
His region includes the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Montana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, Utah and Wyoming.
He is also a retired Colonel in the US Army Reserves and commanded the first USAR unit to be deployed to the Persian Gulf during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Mr. Murphy is a graduate of Boston College (BS Business Administration, 1968), Suffolk University Law School (JD, 1975) and Boston University Law School Graduate Tax Program (LLM 1979).
Mr. Murphy was admitted as a member of the Massachusetts Bar in 1975.
