Jörg Gehler

Jörg Gehler has been with DEWB since 2004 as an Investment Manager for optical technologies and sensor systems.
His areas of focus in the acquisition of and support for investment holdings lie in technical evaluation, market and competitor analyses as well as tracking and evaluating current trends within the area of technology on which DEWB is focused.
His area of speciality covers lasers, optics and optoelectronics.
Jörg Gehler studied physics at the Charles University of Prague and gained his doctorate at the Fraunhofer Institut for Applied Optics and Precision Mechanics in Jena.
After a period spent in research at the Kanagawa Academy for Science and Technology in Japan he worked for 6 years at Alcatel in Stuttgart and Dallas in the development of optical components and transmission systems where his activities also covered the evaluation of new optical technologies for the Alcatel VC Department.
