They were founded in 1994 by Jess Yawitz and Bill Marshall as National Investment Services of America, Inc. In 2016, the firm undertook an organizational restructuring with the creation of a new holding company named NISA LLC in order to provide more flexibility in their product offerings. They are now a wholly-owned subsidiary of NISA LLC. NISA Investment Advisors provides investment advice to institutional clients.

Founded in 2001, McDonnell Investment Management LLC is a wealth management firm and registered investment advisor located in Oak Brook Terrace, Illinois with an additional office in New York City. The firm is a direct subsidiary of Natixis Global Asset Management LP, which is an indirect subsidiary of Natixis Global Asset Management, (NGAM), an international asset management group based in Paris, France. NGAM is in turn owned by Natixis, a French investment banking and financial services firm. Natixis is principally owned by BPCE, France’s second largest banking group. McDonnell provides customized investment management services for institutional and private clients. Their client base includes retirement plans, insurance companies, charitable organizations, municipalities, hospitals, corporations and private clients.
