John Kelting joined British International Investment in 2016 as an External IC member and became British International Investment’s Chief Credit Officer in October 2021.
John’s role is to Chair all of British International Investment’s Debt and Credit Fund Investment Committees with the CIO office, and ensure that our decision making processes and delegated authorities are consistent with our growth ambitions for the next five-year strategy period.
Previously, John spent over 20 years in international banking and was a member of the Barclays Corporate Executive Committee with responsibility for the bank’s global debt, trade, and cash management businesses.
John left banking to take a Master’s in International Development at LSE, and has subsequently pursued his interest in development through his involvement in a number of NGOs and social enterprises focused on Africa and the UK.
