(SSgAI) is the Ireland-based global investment management subsidiary of State Street Global Advisors International Holdings Ltd., ultimately held by State Street Corp. (NYSE: STT) in the US. The firm was founded in 1966 and formerly known as Bank of Ireland Asset Management Ltd. (Ireland). It was acquired in 2011 by State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) and subsequently renamed State Street Global Advisors Ireland Ltd. Headquartered in Dublin, SSgAI provides a range of active and passive investment services for Irish institutional and retail clients including life insurance companies, pension funds, charities, corporations, wealth management firms and stockbroking companies.
