Mr. Robinette served as President of the Television Division of Heritage Media Corporation from 1987 to 1997.
Prior to that, he was the head of the Television Division of Rollins Communications and has been active in the television business since 1963.
Mr. Robinette is currently an advisor to Hoak Media Corporation with responsibility for consulting on acquisitions and operations.
The former Heritage Media television group operated with an objective of maximizing shareholder value and operating cash flow.
The television group under the direction of Jack Robinette developed a "business approach to broadcasting" with a very definite operational strategy.
As a result, the television group generally outperformed the television industry.
From the conception of the company in 1987 to the sale to News Corp in 1997, the television group delivered an average cash flow margin of 51.8%.
In each market the Heritage stations overachieved the audience share in revenue share resulting in revenue growth in excess of the industry average.
