Huw Llewellyn joined Thames River Capital in September 2002.
He has over 25 years investment experience, 23 of which have been specialising in Japan and Asia.
He joined Thames River from Samba Capital Management International (SCMI) where he was responsible for all equity investments in Japan and Asia from 1989 to 2002.
He managed the Samba Lux Japan Equity Fund from January 1995 until May 2002.
From 1985 to 1989 Huw specialised in broking Japanese equities at SG Warburg Securities both in London and Tokyo, where he was Deputy General Manager.
From 1984 to 1985 he was Director and Fund Manager responsible for Japanese and Asian equities at The English Association and from 1979 to 1984 he was with Lazard Brothers & Co. where he established and managed the Lazard Far Eastern Fund.
He has a B.Sc Economics (Hons) from the London School of Economics.
