Mr. Hugues N.
Bessette, CFA, is a Chief Investment Officer at Innocap Investment Management, Inc. He is responsible for supporting clients with the investment decision process and helping allocators build optimal portfolios.
He leads the effort to provide clients with actionable information and insightful transparency by turning analytics into a comprehensive and clear story for better investment decisions.
As CIO, he acts as a partner and subject matter expert on portfolio construction, optimization and portfolio risk management.
Hugues also leads the implementation and management of investment solutions, such as treasury management, currency hedging and overlay strategies.
Prior to joining Innocap, Mr. Bessette previously worked at PSP Investments – Public Markets & Absolute Returns (2004-2016), Bear Stearns – Fixed Income and Structured Credit (2001-2004), CN Investment – Fixed Income (1998-2001) and National Bank of Canada – Asset & Liability Management (1994-1998).
He received both his Bachelor in Actuarial Sciences and Master in Finance from Université Laval.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
