Açoreana Companhia de Seguros SA (Açoreana) is the Lisbon-based life insurance subsidiary of Rentipar Seguros SGPS SA, itself a subsidiary of Soil SGPS in Portugal. The firm was established in 1892, and has partnerships with a network of brokers, institutions, local government, companies and groups in the Azores. In 1996 Açoreana was integrated into the Banco Internacional do Funchal (BANIF) Group. In 1999, they acquired the Oceânica Companhia de Seguros, doubling their network of offices and tripling the volume of their production. In 2002 they merged with O Trabalho and established Açoreana as one of the leading national insurance firms.

The Commercial Banking segment comprises the holding of funds and deposits and specific credit products for individual, corporate and institutional customers. The Asset Management segment comprises the investment product offer and related management services for individual and corporate customers, as well as other financial services. This segment includes investment funds managed by Group entities in which the Group holds the majority of the investment units. The Others segment includes banking operations that are not classified within the other segments. The company was founded by Horacio da Silva Roque on January 15, 1988 and is headquartered in Funchal, Portugal.
