Mr. Frits Oevering is a Senior Researcher at Cooperatieve Rabobank UA.
He joined the company in 2000.
His responsibility is regional development in the Netherlands and regional variations in the areas of demographics, economy and real estate markets in the Netherlands.
His research is mostly carried out at the request of Local Member Banks, but also in response to questions from the Executive Board and other entities within Rabobank.
In a number of cases, his research for Local Member Banks has been incorporated in the economic view of a municipality in its area of operation.
Mr. Oevering is also the author of the book Demografische Krimp, de nieuwe realiteit (“Demographic Contraction, the new reality”) (2010), that is used by the Local Member Banks in the social debate on contraction.
In addition to his work, Frits teaches at universities and colleges.
He studied Economic Geography at Utrecht University.
