Senior Scientific, LLC has extensive experience in design and application of very sensitive magnetic field detector systems, including measurement of magnetic fields from the brain (magnetoencephalography), heart (magnetocardiography), and from magnetized nanoparticles targeted to disease cells (relaxometry). Company research and development programs highlight new applications of these sensors in the field of cancer and other disease detection and localization. Major activities of Senior Scientific, LLC have been in the areas of software and hardware development in the region of weak magnetic field sensors and applications of the technology in antibody targeting of disease cells in-vitro and in-vivo. Recent research at Senior Scientific has been conducted in the area of a bio magnetic system for in vivo cancer imaging. Research in bio magnetic imaging, indicates that it is possible to detect and image small clusters of cancer cells in a rather novel method. The importance of these findings is that this method may substantially increase the sensitivity for detecting cancer at an earlier stage than is currently available and without the use of any ionizing radiation or large magnetic fields. Moreover, this approach also provides a location for the cancer which can be used as a guide either for the surgeon or for other methods of therapy. Bowles, Scientific Advisor to Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico and former chief science officer at the Los Alamos National laboratory, introduced Edward Flynn to Manhattan Scientifics Inc., a publicly traded company located in New Mexico dedicated to assisting scientific enterprises to commercialize disruptive technology.
