Dr. Thoroughgood is the Vice Provost for Research at the University of Delaware.
Previously, she was the Dean of the Graduate College of Marine Studies and the Director of the Delaware Sea Grant College Program at the University, where she was responsible for supervising and correlating all research, instructional and educational activities of the College of Marine Studies.
She was also responsible for long-range planning and general program administration of the Delaware Sea Grant College Program.
She currently sits on the board of The Delaware Innovation Fund.
Dr. Thoroughgood has been with the University of Delaware since she completed her Ph.D.
at the University of Maryland in 1968.
In addition to her Ph.D.
from the University of Maryland, Dr. Thoroughgood received her M.S.
from the University of Maryland and her B.S.
from the University of Delaware.
She has been widely published and has written both technical and non-technical reports.
