Ms. Amy Gordon is a Director-International Peace & Security at John D.
& Catherine T.
MacArthur Foundation.
Prior to her arrival at MacArthur in 2006, she served in the U.S.
Department of State, where she led diplomatic coordination of the Proliferation Security Initiative - a global effort to halt illicit shipments of WMD related materials.
She served as Chief of the Political Military Unit at the U.S.
Embassy in Moscow (2000-2003).
Ms. Gordon was an advisor to the Director of the U.S.
Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, and the Secretary of State on ratification of the Chemical Weapons Convention, in the mid-late 1990s.
Ms. Amy Gordon holds an MA in International Affairs from Columbia University and was also a Research Fellow at the John F.
Kennedy School of Government’s Belfer Center, Harvard University.
