During his 11-year tenure as Polar’s CRO, he oversaw a team responsible for various risk management functions, led a development team that designed Polar’s proprietary investment management software and applications, and worked directly with the CIO on portfolio construction, strategy development and the formation of Polar’s investment team.
Prior to Polar, Dr. Ruken held the role of Vice President at the Bank of Nova Scotia responsible for risk management.
He graduated from McMaster University in 1994 with a Ph.D.
in Theoretical Physics.
