Youkosha Co.,Ltd. agreed to acquire Care Friend Ltd. from Kiyoshi Kumagai and others on March 16, 2021. In October 2020, Care Friend Ltd. reported a total common equity of JPY 17.1 million, total assets of JPY 34.3 million, total revenues of JPY 96.9 million, EBIT of JPY 4 million and net income of JPY 3.8 million. The transaction was approved by the Board of Directors of Youkosha Co.,Ltd. The deal is expected to close on March 17, 2021. The transaction will have a minor impact on Youkosha Co.,Ltd. for the fiscal year ending March 2021.
Youkosha Co.,Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the provision of nursing care service. It operates through four business segments. Day Service business provides nursing care such as meal, bathing and excretion, function training and recreation within the facility. Nursing Home business operates paid nursing homes that provide residents with nursing care such as dining, bathing, excretion, as well as daily living services such as functional training, medical care and recreation. Home Service business includes visiting nursing care, in-home nursing care support, lending and sale of welfare equipment, and housing renovation. Education business operates a course to teach knowledge on nursing care and technology concerning nursing care, in order to train personnel in the nursing care service industry and to secure excellent nursing care human resources at the Company.
