Following a review of Online, William Hill plc is making some management changes to support its next phase of growth, focused on product innovation, personalization and user experience improvements. Andrew Lee, Managing Director Online, will be leaving the business at some point in 2016. Crispin Nieboer has been appointed Interim MD of Online, reporting to James Henderson; he is currently responsible for Online's Shoreditch innovation team. A search is underway for a permanent replacement and will consider both internal and external candidates. In addition, the company also announced that Kevin O'Connor is joining the company as group chief information officer, reporting to James Henderson. Kevin has more than 20 years' experience in IT leadership roles, across the financial and other sectors. He was most recently CTO of S&P Capital IQ and previous roles include Chief Information Officer of Paddy Power PLC.

The company reported unaudited group earnings results for the year ended December 29, 2015. For the year, the company reported net revenue of £1,590.9 million compared to £1,609.3 million a year ago. Operating profit was £290 million in line with market expectations, with £87 million of additional UK gambling duties. Net debt at the year-end was about £500 million.
