William Hill are now 9/4 that there is a General Election in 2018, with multiple bets on a daily basis. Meanwhile Jacob Rees-Mogg is once again the 5/1 favourite to be the next Conservative Party leader and Hills are offering odds of 11/10 that Theresa May departs her position this year.

'The odds suggest that Theresa May will do well not to leave office this year,' said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

When will Theresa May leave office: 11/10 2018; 13/8 2019; 8/1 2020; 12/1 2021; 8/1 2022 or later
