05 December 2012 Westhouse appoints Simon Pettitt to head its fixed income business

Westhouse Holdings plc (LSE:WHL), the corporate and institutional broking group, has appointed Simon Pettitt to establish and develop its fixed income business. This will focus initially on developing an agency and matched bargain business in the UK, France and Italy.

Simon joins Westhouse from Eurodekania. In a career of over 25 years' experience he was part of the team which established Heritage Capital in London and was also responsible for establishing Orion Finance SA in Switzerland. He has also worked for Daiwa and Pru-Bache, after training with NKK Securities.

Christopher Getley, Chief Executive at Westhouse, said: "We are delighted that Simon is going to be leading the development of our fixed income business. With his appointment Westhouse plans to establish and develop a new recurring income stream for the business, extending our income base beyond our current streams from retained corporate fees, commissions and market making. The move is important to developing the strength and reputation of Westhouse as a corporate and institutional brokerage."
