Westar Resources progressing approvals ahead of drilling at Olga Rocks lithium project

Westar Resources Ltd (ASX:WSR) MD Karl Jupp tells Proactive the company is designing a drilling program to follow up on a 1.4-kilometre lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatite strike at the Olga Rocks Project in Western Australia, intending to investigate three potential lithium-prospective corridors. Meanwhile WSR is also poised to begin maiden aircore drilling of several gold and copper-zinc targets at the Gidgee North Project in Western Australia.

Westar Resources Limited is an Australia-based mineral exploration company. The Company is focused on exploration of gold mineral assets, precious and base metal mineral assets in Western Australia. The Companyâs projects include Yilgarn Projects, Murchinson Projects and Pilbara Projects. Its Yilgarn Projects include Mt Finnerty Project and Olga Rocks Project. Its Mt Finnerty Project is located approximately 430 kilometers (km) east-northeast of Perth and 200 km northeast of the Ramelius Resources Edna May mine and mill, within the Archaean Marda-Diemals greenstone belt. Its Murchinson Projects include Mindoolah, Gidgee North and Winjangoo. The Mindoolah Project consists of approximately 100 square kilometers (km2) of tenure, located 70 km north-west from the town of Cue in Western Australia, within the Murchison Mineral Field. The Gidgee North project is located approximately 640 km northeast of Perth in the Murchison region of Western Australia.
