On January 9, 2017, Stilwell Value LLC announced its nominee, Stephen S. Burchett and alternate nominee, Mark D. Alcott for Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc.'s upcoming election of directors. Stilwell Value stated that it is calling for a sale of the Company expressing its view that it has been years of inadequate returns and insufficient improvement in profitability.
