Vignette Corp. (NASDAQ:VIGN):

Researchers at Brown University have declared Vignette customer USA.gov the best federal e-government Web site. Other Vignette customers, including the IRS.gov (10) and NASA.gov (11), were listed among the top 15 most highly rated federal sites in the eighth annual U.S. e-government study.

As part of the study, a team of researchers from the Taubman Center for Public Policy at Brown University examined 48 federal government legislative and executive sites and 13 federal court sites during June and July 2007. Web sites were evaluated based on a variety of features including audio clips and video clips, foreign language content, disability access, Web site personalization and PDA accessibility.

?The Web has quickly become one of the most important channels for federal, state and local governments to deliver critical information and services to constituents,? said Leo Brunnick, senior vice president of products and marketing at Vignette. ?Our Next-Generation Web and Imaging and Workflow solutions make it easier to conduct business with the government and enable many of the country's largest federal agencies to establish more personal, pervasive connections with the general public.?
