US Foods Holding Corp. has split its chairman and chief executive officer roles after facing pressure to improve operations from an activist investment firm, according to a Reuters report.

Pietro Satriano will remain CEO and have a board seat, while Robert Dutkowsky, the lead independent director on the board, becomes non-executive chairman.

Satriano was appointed chairman in 2017 after having joining the board when he was named CEO in July 2015.
