Meet The Team: Leigh Pendergast

Leigh Pendergast, Director of Operations at US Ecology, is an environmental services professional with 20 years of diverse experience throughout the industry. She joined US Ecology in May of 2019 and since that time has not only demonstrated her industry knowledge by providing innovative solutions and streamlining processes but also her expertise in managing and strengthening customer relationships. She lives by our value of providing unequaled service excellence that ensures utmost customer satisfaction. Leigh has gained the respect of management and her peers alike, which resulted in two promotions since her initial role as Account Manager.

As a reflection of her latest accomplishments, Leigh was entrusted with the responsibilities of Director of Operations for our Global Response Operations Center, US Ecology's 24/7 command hub. In that role she oversees our team of response representatives, ER managers and supporting staff and leads and manages operations to meet customer expectations. The Global Response Operations Center is the nerve center for coordinating all emergency response activities and Leigh's role is key to ensuring reliable dispatch of ER resources wherever they are needed.

Through her long career in environmental services, Leigh has acquired a vast array of skills and gained considerable knowledge in environmental regulations, safety and compliance, as well as customer relations. Leigh's extensive experience and expertise have helped her develop a keen understanding of customer perception. She has worked in local offices supporting technical customer service as well as at the corporate level providing technical and overall client support to National customers in the Consulting/Engineering, Refineries, Pipelines and Terminals and Oil Sands sectors.

Within those sectors, Leigh supported various lines of business, including but not limited to, Transportation and Disposal, Industrial, Field, Analytical and Emergency Response services. Prior to her employment with US Ecology, she played a key role in implementing Retail Solutions which included scheduled retail waste pick-up services as well as Emergency Response.

Leigh has served the industry for two decades and is an integral part of the US Ecology family. We expect her expertise and knowledge as well as strong customer service background to facilitate continued growth and improve upon our already best-in-class customer support from a national leader in Emergency Response.
