Turboatom signed Agreement for manufacture of titanium alloy moving blades for Khmelnitsk and Rivne NPPs.

At the end of December JSC 'Turboatom' signed Agreement with SE NNEGC 'Energoatom' SS 'Atomkomplekt' for manufacture and supply of moving blades for the 5th stage with components for low pressure rotors of turbine K-1000-60/3000. They are necessary for production needs of Units No 1, 2 Khmelnitsk NPP and Unit No 4 of Rivne NPP. Blades are needed to replace the ones that exhausted their design life span. In total, 12 rows are to be made, with total number of 1104 pcs., of which 4 rows for Rivne NPP in June 2019, 4 rows for Khmelnitsk NPP in July 2019, and 4 rows for Rivne NPP in March 2020.

Amount of Agreement is 506.1 miln. hryivn. Moving blades are made of titanium alloy ВТ 6. JSC 'Turboatom' developed its own design of moving blade and technology for its manufacture.

During development of new design of moving blades, was considered experience of operation of blades, which were supplied earlier with turbine, made strengthening of blade airfoil (width), increased strength and reliability of blade. Manufacture of blades at factory conditions is completed by their assembly in row on special technological disk. During assembly 100% fitting of all moving blades to each other and to the disc is implemented. This technology allows ensuring proper quality of row of blades, as well as significantly reducing installation time. JSC 'Turboatom', since 2015, has already manufactured 7 rows of similar blades, which are successfully operated at South-Ukrainian and Khmelnitsk NPPs.
