A working meeting concerning fabrication of the data processing system (DPS) and process units for the oil quantity and quality metering system (OQQMS) took place at the premises of Transneft Upper Volga in the Nizhny Novgorod region on 26 January 2017.

Maksim Grishanin, First Vice President of Transneft; Sergey Andronov, Vice President of the Company, and managers of departments and directorates of Transneft, Transneft Metrology, and Transneft Upper Volga participated in the event.

Participants of the meeting visited the Production Hub for plant control systems (PCS) (Nizhny Novgorod), where up-to-date equipment for the oil and gas industry is fabricated within the import substitution programme developed by Transneft. The equipment allows the control of oil and petroleum products transfer via pipeline systems in accordance with the standard requirements.

Managers inspected the facilities being constructed at the Starolikeyevo line operation dispatcher station of the Gorky Regional Oil Pipeline Directorate (RPD) within Transneft Upper Volga investment projects.

Results of the program on the fabrication of process units for the oil quantity and quality metering system at the Transneftemash Factory of Velikiye Luki in 2016 were reviewed in the course of the meeting in the Gorky RPD. In 2016, the factory fabricated: fire-fighting equipment - 5,157 pcs, oil pipeline vents - 734 pcs, pipeline wells - 152 pcs, OQQMS/QMU - 34, UVT heating plants - 24 pcs, devices for introducing additives into oil and petroleum product pipelines - 2, other products - 6,580 pcs.

Also, a report on the operations of the Production Hub for PCS opened in October 2015 was presented. Currently, the Production Hub fabricates telemetry cabinets, data processing systems for QMU and OQQMS, and automation systems for boiler plants. In 2016, the production output of the hub was: 643 pipeline telemetry cabinets, 25 automation systems for quality parameters measurement unit (QMU, QMUo ), 5 DPSs for OQQMS, and 14 sets of automation systems for boiler plants.

A plan for the development of the Transneft Upper Volga production complex in the types of products of Transneftemash Factory (Velikiye Luki) and the Production Hub for plant control systems (Nizhny Novgorod) was proposed following the results of the meeting.
