Transneft' : Heads of Sonatrach, the largest Algerian oil and gas company, visited Transneft Diascan

Heads of Sonatrach, the largest African oil and gas company (Algeria), visited Transneft Diascan. In particular, Ait Messaoud Abdelmalek, Head of Administrative Office of Director General, Arbi-Bey Slimane, Deputy Director General, Alhaji Abdelkader, Director of Directorate of Pipelines' Integrity Control, and Buga Nureddine, Director of Directorate of Intelligence of Sonatrach, visited the enterprise on January 17, 2017.

Transneft was represented during the meeting by Denis Serdyukov, Deputy Director of Department of Foreign Economic Relations, Dmitry Glinkin, Chief Designer of Transneft Diascan, now acting Director General, and Sergey Zubin, Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Activities and Production Organization of Transneft Diascan.

The enterprise's industrial and technological capabilities were shown to the guests - inspection tools, developed by Transneft Diascan (treatment tools, geometry tools and defectoscopes), test ground where diagnostic equipment is tested under realistic conditions. Sonatrach representatives visited the testing laboratory, where durability of pipes is tested using bend and repeated live pressure loading, visited data interpretation and analysis centre, as well as polyurethane and composite materials production shops.

The Algerian company's representatives highly assessed the presented diagnostic equipment, noting variety of tools and complete production cycle from tools development to production of details for assembling and further repair of the equipment.

Besides, a meeting was conducted as part of the visit, where the parties discussed possible forms of collaboration between Transneft, Transneft Diascan and Sonatrach.
