Spurs Ladies stormed into the third round of the FA Women's Cup with a 7-0 win at Denham on Sunday.

Sam Pittuck (2) - pictured - Emma Kayser, Jess Cheeseman, Miranda Hall, Emma Sherwood and Wendy Martin grabbed the goals against the team from the London & South East Regional League.

The win set-up a fourth round tie away to Larkhall Athletic, a team based in Bath, Somerset, who play in the South West Women's Premier Division.

"It was great to get back into action with a win," said manager Karen Hills.

"We'd had a game every week from August until December so it was ideal to have a break over Christmas, but the players looked sharp and hungry."

It was the start of a run of cup matches for the ladies including the FA Women's Cup, the London Cup and the FA Women's Premier League Cup, which will be played on a league format.

Next up is the London Cup quarter-final and a trip to Millwall Lionesses on Sunday.

FA WOMEN'S CUP

Spurs Ladies 7-0 Denham Ladies

Spurs Ladies were quickly out of the blocks as they kicked-off their FA Women's Cup campaign in style.

It took just seven minutes for Kirsten Thompson and Jess Cheeseman to set-up Emma Kayser for the opener as they stormed into a 4-0 half-time lead.

Miranda Hall provided the ammunition for the second and third goals, converted by Sam Pittuck after 15 and 30 minutes.

Now in total control, Jess hit a piledriver from fully 30 yards into the top corner for the fourth just before the break.

Miranda's fine work down the left was rewarded with an excellent individual goal for 5-0 before Ebony Heath released Emma Sherwood for the sixth. Wendy Martin completed the scoring.

"You never know what can happen in a cup game and Denham were not taken lightly," added Karen.

"We scored some excellent goals and they had trouble living with us.

"We will look to build on that result and try to get a positive result at Millwall after we disappointly lost to them in the league in December."

Spurs Ladies:  Jo Ayre, Miranda Hall, Hannaliis Jaadla, Robyn Downie, Vicky Elcome, Wendy Martin (Ryah Vyse, 75), Jess Cheeseman, Emma Kayser, Kirsten Thompson (Ebony Heath, 60), Emma Sherwood, Sam Pittuck (Robyn McEvoy, 55).
