Toho Gas Co. Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended December 31, 2016. For the period, the company's net sales were JPY 268,034 million compared to JPY 343,378 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 16,592 million compared to JPY 44,130 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 17,999 million compared to JPY 45,294 million a year ago. Income before income taxes was JPY 17,999 million compared to JPY 45,294 million a year ago. Net income attributable to the parent company was JPY 12,822 million or JPY 23.81 per share compared to JPY 32,378 million or JPY 59.77 per share a year ago.
The company provided earnings forecast for the full year ending March 31, 2017. The Construction and Equipment segment is engaged in the provision of piping works for gas supply and the sale of gas equipment. The other businesses include LNG entrusted processing, the leasing and operation of real estate, the design and construction and the provision of utility service for plants and facilities, the sale of household equipment and others.
