Tiger Wheel Ltd (Tiwheel) is a manufacturer of aluminum wheels and is engaged in the distribution of aluminum wheels and tyres. The Company's two business units consist of international wheel manufacturing arm, which has plants in Germany, Poland, South Africa and the United States, and its trading operations unit. These comprise 45 Tiger Wheel & Tyre retail stores in southern Africa 32 owned and 13 franchised, which cover all major centres and hold a significant share of the replacement passenger tyre and wheel aftermarket business in the region. This business unit is also engaged in wholesale wheel and tyre distribution in the United Kingdom and South Africa. In September 2008, the Company announced that it was placed under provisional liquidation by the Master of the High Court.
