The rail transport of commercial phosphate, on Wednesday, resumed from the mine of Mdhilla (Governorate of Gafsa) to chemical fertiliser companies located in the governorates of Sfax and Gabès, after a one-year suspension.

The rail transport of commercial phosphate resumed, Wednesday, following one-year suspension due to protests held by job seekers in the region, a source of the Phosphate Company of Gafsa told TAP Thursday.

A sharp decline was recorded in CPG's freight activities with an average of 3 trains per day from the Metlaoui mine, due to protests.

The resumption of activities from Mdhilla will increase the company's rail traffic with an average of 7 trains per day.
