West Street Infrastructure Partners Fund III, managed by Goldman Sachs Group, Merchant Banking Division and Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 5 LP, managed by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (Europe) Limited entered into an agreement to acquire Hes International B.V. from Carlyle International Energy Partners LP, managed by The Carlyle Group L.P. (NasdaqGS:CG) and Riverstone/Carlyle Global Energy and Power Fund IV, L.P., managed by Riverstone Holdings LLC on April 3, 2018. The deal is subject to legal and antitrust approvals. As of July 23, 2018, the transaction was approved by European Commission. West Street Infrastructure Partners Fund III, managed by Goldman Sachs Group, Merchant Banking Division and Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 5 LP, managed by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (Europe) Limited completed the the acquisition of Hes International B.V. from Carlyle International Energy Partners LP, managed by The Carlyle Group L.P. (NasdaqGS:CG) and Riverstone/Carlyle Global Energy and Power Fund IV, L.P., managed by Riverstone Holdings LLC on March 15, 2019. Post completion of the transaction, the new shareholders, each control 50% of HES.
