In a competitive category and during a ceremony which went fully digital for the first time, Maverick was named distributor of the year. The accolade is a testament to Maverick's continued success in smart signage and meeting solutions, strategic focus, team development achievements and response to working in partnership with manufacturers and customers in a difficult trading time.

The title came in a very challenging year for the pro AV industry, which saw many businesses pivoting technology to enable hybrid working. The judging panel comprised an independent group of senior representatives from end-user organisations, consultants and key industry players. The judges are split into five groups and are assigned to categories, carefully selected by AV Magazine's editors and shortlisted companies undergo an interview process with the panel before final selection.
