Shapiro, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, has been appointed Co-Chairman of the national Small- & Mid-Cap Companies Committee for the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals. Earlier this year, Shapiro was appointed to the organization's national Public Advocacy Committee and recently completed a second term as President of the Society's Chicago chapter.

The Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals was founded in 1946, and has more than 3,100 members representing approximately 2,500 companies.
