PRESS RELEASE MAAF Ensures Real-time Control of IT Production and Monitors its Critical Applications with Systar's WideVision ST. CLOUD, France and Vienna, VA, April 9, 2013 - Systar (ISIN : FR0000052854-SAR), a leading provider of Operational Intelligence software, today announced that MAAF, a leading general insurer in France, has deployed Systar's WideVision Service Health Check to control its IT production optimally and monitor its business applications in real time, from end-to-end.

With Information Systems opened daily from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. and operational websites running non-stop, MAAF's production teams must continuously monitor forty critical applications representing MAAF's core business and insure their availability.
"Proactivity and responsiveness define our approach to IT supervision," said Pascal Brosseron, IT Production Manager, MAAF. "Today, our Information Systems Department must not only monitor the operation and performance of infrastructures, but it must above all ensure the availability of business applications and determine the impact of an incident on performance and quality of service."
According to Gilles Membrard, Supervision Manager at MAAF, "The best IT incidents are those which do not happen or do not disturb our users."
MAAF has therefore chosen Systar's WideVision Service Health Check to ensure proactive monitoring of the availability and performance of its business applications. "We needed a next-generation tool to enhance our effectiveness against the increasing volume of our applications and the evolution of technologies used, in order to respond quickly and reliably meet the expectations of our customers," said Pascal Brosseron. "We chose WideVision Service Health Check because it fully meets these challenges. This allows us to reinforce our quality of service in line with the business needs."
WideVision is based on the definition of performance criteria for business services in the form of indicators and allows their control on the fly through summary dashboards. It alerts MAAF's production teams in case of service degradation and helps them make the best diagnosis based on quick and accurate root-cause analysis.
MAAF has consequently transformed the control and performance of its Information Systems through an at-a-glance visualization of its 600 agencies' performance and the real-time measurement of the regularity and quality of each service's performance. "The ROI is easy to prove, you just have to realize the cost of a minute of downtime on our site!" concluded Gilles Membrard.
"We are proud to support MAAF, an innovator in IT monitoring, as it pushes the boundaries of Information Systems monitoring," said Guy Kuster, CEO of Systar. "The combination of the strong benefits provided by our solutions and the proactive approach adopted by MAAF demonstrate the value of real-time Information Systems monitoring by ensuring an optimal and continuous quality of service to users, partners and internal customers."
