Star Micronics Co., Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended November 30, 2013. For the quarter, the company reported net income of JPY 569 million on sales of JPY 10,552 million compared to net income of JPY 230 million on sales of JPY 8,464 million for the corresponding period last year. Operating and ordinary income were JPY 770 million and JPY 975 million against JPY 260 million and JPY 429 million of prior year period.
For the nine months period, the company reported net income of JPY 796 million or JPY 18.92 net income per share on net sales of JPY 29,806 million compared to net income of JPY 2,167 million or JPY 51.51 net income per share on net sales of JPY 28,059 million for the corresponding period last year. Operating and ordinary income were JPY 1,268 million and JPY 1,809 million against JPY 1,453 million and JPY 1,708 million of prior year period.
