Johan Chung has been named Sprint president of the Northern California and Nevada Region. Based in San Francisco, he will be responsible for sales strategy, network oversight, customer service, marketing communications and general operations supporting the full portfolio of Sprint products and services from enterprise to consumer in Northern California and Nevada. Chung's appointment follows Sprint's announcement that it will restructure the company into four geographic areas – West, Central, Northeast and South – with targeted resources devoted to 17 top regions, including San Francisco.

Under Chung's leadership the company will develop market-specific offerings serving the unique local needs of consumer and business customers in the West. Chung joins Sprint from LG Electronics where he served as a senior vice president, managing the account division for major U.S. operators. Previously he worked at McKinsey and Company Inc. and also held management positions at Hewlett Packard/Agilent Technologies.
