(Summary) Notice of Appointment and Change of Executive Officers

The overseas insurance business in the Sompo Group has grown consistently since the acquisition of Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. (current Sompo International Ltd.) in FY2017 and has achieved significant results to date, with the projected value of the overseas insurance business at the end of FY2021 expected to exceed US$14,000 million in gross written premium, US$550 million in adjusted profit, with the ratio of the overseas insurance business in the adjusted consolidated profit of the Sompo Group expected to reach 27%.

In order to achieve further growth in the P&C insurance business, the Sompo Group will expand its market approach going forward using best practices based on a consistent business strategy in the domestic and overseas P&C insurance business. We have newly established the Sompo International Tokyo Office as a hub organization for building "One SOMPO"in the genuine sense of the word. Accordingly, we are pleased to announce as follows the appointment of Mr. Kenneth Reilly as the head of Sompo International Tokyo Office, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Global Business Department.
