Christian Steinberg has been appointed as Solarpraxis MENA LLC's new sales director. The company is a joint venture between Berlin-based Solarpraxis AG, a knowledge service provider for renewable energy, and Z-One Holding, which comprises six solar companies in the MENA region. Solarpraxis MENA LLC provides expertise and services in the fields of engineering, conferences and publishing for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Christian Steinberg joined the team in Dubai at the beginning of the year, bringing with him many years of experience in the solar industry.
Previously, Steinberg worked for several years as a senior international sales consultant at Solarpraxis AG in Berlin. He has worked in sales for various renewable energy technology providers since 1995. "Thanks to dynamic increases in population and economic growth, the MENA region is experiencing a rapid surge in the amount of energy being consumed, which makes it an ever more interesting location for solar energy," explains Steinberg. "Our local presence and comprehensive market knowledge make us an important partner for customers all over the world looking to become active in the region. Given its geographical proximity to Europe, the market is particularly attractive to European companies."
Solarpraxis MENA offers market entry assistance to photovoltaics companies looking to gain a foothold in both the MENA region and Sub-Saharan Africa. Solarpraxis's engineers provide all technical services for project developers, investors and financiers locally in the region. These include feasibility studies, grid analyses, planning services and quality assurance during planning, construction and commissioning, and also extend to technical due diligence for projects and completed installations. In addition, Solarpraxis MENA adapts documents and websites to suit local conditions, compiles technical documentation and holds seminars. The company has extensive expertise in these areas, particularly within the Arabic-speaking region. In its capacity both as an expert consultant and planner, Solarpraxis has worked on photovoltaic installations boasting a total output of over three gigawatt peak, including projects in African countries such as Cameroon, Senegal and Uganda.
