SnowWorld more sustainable

SnowWorld is performing well in the 3rd quarter Traditionally, the 3rd quarter of SnowWorld's financial year, with 10% to 15% of total annual sales, is the least busy quarter of the year. Performance during the 3rd quarter of fiscal year 2016/2017 is in line with expectations. SnowWorld still assumes it will achieve an improvement in profits with respect to the previous year. General developments

During the third quarter of the year, 3,000 solar panels were installed and put into service on the roof of SnowWorld in Zoetermeer. On sunny days, SnowWorld Zoetermeer is therefore virtually self-sufficient in terms of energy consumption.

At the SnowWorld branch in Landgraaf preparations are currently under way for the installation of another 10,000 solar panels. These panels are expected to be put into use at the end of this summer. The 13,000 solar panels installed in total (in both branches) produce a capacity of 3.1 MWp. This could provide approximately 1,000 households with electricity.

Developments in relation to the expansion plans for Paris, Barcelona and Milan are progressing steadily. There is currently nothing new to report regarding Paris and Barcelona. The project in Milan, which is being developed together with the Italian joint venture partner 'Finiper Group', is making good progress. Further to the Letter of Intent which was signed earlier, the technical development of the project and the preparation of the required contracts are in full swing. Construction is scheduled to start in 2018.

Performance 3rd quarter year 2016/2017

Performance during the 3rd quarter of fiscal year 2016/2017 developed in line with expectations. As expected, turnover, EBITDA and net profit, show an increase over the same period last year. Performance up to the third quarter of the 2016/2017 financial year provides a solid foundation under the previously anticipated expectation of higher EBITDA and higher net operating profit for the entire financial year.
