On January 31, 2012, Joan I. Patterson, Executive Vice President and Chief Deposit Operations Officer of New Century Bancorp Inc., retired from her positions with the company and its New Century Bank. Celia A. DeBiase, who is an Executive Vice President and the Chief Risk Officer of the company, will assume responsibility for the functions previously performed by Ms. Patterson.
