Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. Elects William K. Phelan as Director

On October 7, 2015 the Board of Directors of Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. elected Mr. William K. Phelan, Senior Associate Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of the American Bar Association, as a director. The Company's expectation is that the Board of Directors will appoint Mr. Phelan to serve on the Board's Audit Committee and Compensation
Committee.
