Seagate Technology plc announced earnings results for the second quarter ended January 1, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was USD 2,623 million compared to USD 2,696 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 348 million compared to USD 384 million a year ago. Net income was USD 280 million compared to USD 318 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.12 compared to USD 1.21 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.12 compared to USD 1.2 a year ago. For the half year, sales was USD 4,937 million compared to USD 5,274 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 599 million compared to USD 657 million a year ago. Net income was USD 503 million compared to USD 518 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.99 compared to USD 1.96 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.97 compared to USD 1.93 a year ago.
Seagate Technology Holdings plc provides mass-data storage infrastructure solution. The Companyâs principal products are hard disk drives, commonly referred to as disk drives, hard drives (HDDs).
