January 24, 2018, Davos (Switzerland) - Sberbank fully supports the initiative to establish the Global Centre for Cybersecurity (GCC) under the auspices of the World Economic Forum (WEF), according to Stanislav Kuznetsov, Deputy Chairman of Sberbank's Executive Board.

The launch of the GCC is a landmark for the development of the Cybercrime Project, a comprehensive initiative of the WEF in the area of cybersecurity. Sberbank has actively participated in its activities since its establishment, and strategic partnership with the GCC is a serious step forward in strengthening the bank's position as an active fighter against international cybercrime.

'We hope that the Centre will operate as a unique platform enabling cooperation between public and private sectors, and it will develop in key three areas: establishing fruitful cooperation between public and private entities, building necessary conditions for the organisation of continuous exchange of information, and the establishment of a reliable research centre that provides independent assessment and analysis of the current situation in the area of cybersecurity on the international arena,' said Mr Kuznetsov.

Sberbank participated in discussing and shaping the principles of the establishment of the Global Centre for Cybersecurity. The official opening of the Centre will be held in Davos tomorrow, January 25.
