NUST MISIS students have created a universal application template for universities using the instruments available on the SmartMarket platform. The generic solution will enable students or staff members at any university to create smart apps quickly and conveniently. The apps will be available in the mobile apps and devices with Salute virtual assistants on board. The programming skills required to create a smart app are minimal: you only need to register on the SmartMarket website and use the special template designed for universities.

Template-based applications help you navigate the life at a university. For example, you can download the schedule of classes, a university map, frequently asked questions, etc. Convenient and quick search will allow students to no longer look for information about their classes on the website - asking the Salute assistants with voice will be enough. A smart app can remember the user and show their schedule in the future. Moreover, apps can send notifications that a class is about to start.

NUST MISIS students' smart app is already available upon the following request: "Launch the World of MISIS" in the mobile applications SberBank Online and Salute, as well as on Sber smart devices.

Ivan Smirnov, head of SmartMarket, SberDevices:

"We have approached MISIS students with the suggestion to create a typical application template for Salute virtual assistants on SmartMarket. The students did an excellent job, using a wide range of tools available on our platform. Now any university can adapt this template and create an application on its own and at no additional cost. For this, the skills of an IT student will be enough. Thanks to such applications, it will become much easier for students to navigate university life."

Alevtina Chernikova, rector, NUST MISIS:

"The National University of Science and Technology MISIS has a fruitful partnership with Sber, a high-tech Russian company that pays special attention to the development of digital skills and competencies among young people. In 2020, we signed an agreement that provides for the training of IT specialists, the creation of a service robotics laboratory at the university, and joint research, to name a few. Students of the MISIS Engineering Cybernetics Department intern at Sber to address a variety of tasks - from creating AI-powered control systems for robotic complexes to developing applications on the Sber platform SmartMarket. Students are active participants in innovation and design work, interacting with Sber's engineering departments. The one example I would like to mention is the joint development of 'Mir MISIS', which is a new solution that expands students' access to university's digital services. The key advantage of this project is that the basic application code is available to all universities."
