Yogyakarta, 19 December 2016 - In commemoration of the anniversary of UGM-67, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI in cooperation with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has launched a Digital Innovation Center marketplace, UGM Mall. Such cooperation is intended to facilitate the public in accessing innovative and creative products produced by UGM academicians.
The launch of Digital Innovation Center marketplace UGM Mall was held at UGM, Yogyakarta on Monday (December 19th 2016). UGM Rector Dwikorita Karnawati, and BNI Finance and Credit Risk Director Rico Budidarmo attended the launching.
According to Rico, BNI's cooperation with UGM further reinforced the position of BNI as a Campus Bank, because it pays special attention in providing banking services for academic communities. The strength of this specific BNI program is combined with an increasing trend in society: online shopping.
'BNI supports online shopping payment innovation with the launch of BNI e-commerce payment. Manifestations of this support sought to increase the potential of regional economy and improve SME public welfare through the development of cilacapgallery.com and banyuwangi-mall.com. BNI pursues the same spirit of cooperation in its online cooperation with UGM through www.UGM-Mall.com,' he stated.
www.UGM-Mall.com is managed by Gama Multi Group, UGM's holding company. The cooperation allows people to browse, select, and purchase innovative products, a result of research by UGM that combined creativity with scientific and academic knowledge to become pioneers in 'Grounded Innovation for the Nation'. With just one click, people can pay directly using BNI Online Debit, Credit Card with Visa / Mastercard, UGM cards and Kagame Card, SMS Payment and Bank Transfer, or Virtual Account Payment. Transactions can be made by all BNI account holders or holders of other bank accounts connected to ATM Bersama / Link and Prima networks.
The expanded partnership between BNI and UGM is expected to be well maintained to cover various areas of cooperation. A variety of services and products that reaffirmed BNI's mission to provide Lifetime Banking Services.
