CARMEL, Ind. (AP) _ Protective Insurance Corporation-B (PTVCB) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $12 million.

On a per-share basis, the Carmel, Indiana-based company said it had net income of 84 cents.

The property and casualty insurance underwriter posted revenue of $136.4 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $4.5 million, or 31 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $468.7 million.

Protective Insurance shares have climbed 67% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 68% in the last 12 months.
