Čakovec, September 26, 2018 - As part of the jubilee anniversary of the PBZ Group's humanitarian project 'Doing Good Every Day' and the American Express Card with a Heart, the County Hospital Čakovec received a donation amounting to HRK 382,594.00. Thanks to this donation, the hospital purchased a digital EEG device, a respirator, a thermal crib and a vital functions monitor for the Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology.

The Project 'Doing Good Every Day' and American Express Card with a Heart are celebrating the tenth anniversary and through them, the Group provides support to two national projects for the benefit of children and young people: Monitoring the Children Exposed to Neurological Risks' initiated by the Ministry of Health and 'For a Better Life for Children in Social Care Homes' initiated by the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth', in a way that for every transaction made with American Express Card with a Heart it donates one Croatian Kuna, without additional cost for its users. The funds raised are donated to these projects in 50:50 ratio.

Through this Project, the PBZ Group has so far collected 14 million HRK and has participated in 36 donations, including 27 donations to the hospitals in the Republic of Croatia for the purchase of the necessary medical equipment and 9 donations to the social welfare institutions for the purchase of the equipment needed.

'I am pleased that the funds collected for our project 'Doing good Every Day' helped the County Hospital of Čakovec, by donating modern medical equipment that will enable better treatment and growth of small patients in Međimurje County. The project 'Doing Good Every Day' was launched ten years ago to help our community on the long term and continuous basis, those who need our help the most: small patients and children without parental care and with developmental difficulties. We are proud of the achievements we have accomplished in the ten years of our project: more than 14 million HRK and 36 donations to paediatric departments and child hospitals and social welfare homes, enabling safer development of small patients and better life for children in social welfare homes in 25 cities and 19 counties. The County Hospital Čakovec is of particular importance for the treatment of small patients in Međimurje County and I hope that new medical devices will contribute to their better treatment', said Dinko Lucić, Chairman of the Management Board of Privredna banka Zagreb.
