Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited is a Bangladesh-based power transmission company engaged in planning, promoting, developing, operating, and maintaining of power transmission system/network throughout Bangladesh. The Company operates transmission lines, sub-stations, load dispatch centers, and communication facilities. The Company coordinates operations of regional, national, and international grid systems. It also provides consulting services in power systems and works on projects for other companies. The Company operates and maintains approximately 2,407 circuit kilometers of approximately 400 kilovolts (KV) transmission line. It operates approximately one high-voltage direct current (HVDC) station of approximately 500 megawatts capacity. Its completed projects include Western Grid Network Development Project, National Power Transmission Network Development Project, and Ashuganj - Shahjibazar 132 KV Single Circuit Transmission Line Project.
